With 24 million registered users, FFXIV was Square Enix's first foray into the MMORPG genre. FFXIV is one of the few major MMORPG titles that has yet to expand to smartphones, but that's about to change."

It looks like that rumoured mobile version of Final Fantasy 14 is on the way as one has just been rated by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee. The rating doesn't reveal anything specific about the game, but it does confirm that it's in development and that it's coming to iOS and Android.

The company is already working on a mobile version of Elden Ring for From Software and next the company may be turning its attention to Final Fantasy 14.
