About Protect Our Winters
Protect Our Winters (POW) is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 by professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones. Its mission is to engage the outdoor community in the fight against climate change and protect the places we love to recreate.
POW believes that outdoor enthusiasts have a unique perspective and responsibility to speak out about climate change, as they witness its impacts firsthand in the mountains, rivers, and oceans they love. The organization brings together athletes, scientists, creatives, and business leaders to raise awareness, advocate for policies, and mobilize the outdoor community for climate action.
